DIGITAL DESIGN, Created for an original brand, “Pretti Please” – Posted MAY 24, 2016
Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising

The following work is from a digital design project titled “Pretti Please.” In FIDM’s Digital Design course, students in their final quarter of FIDM’s Merchandise Product Development major work to create an original line of products using industry level Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator techniques. This original line of products is inspired by one of Spring/Summer 2017’s megatrends, developed by Doneger Creative Services.  My design concept is intended for the Girl’s 3 – 7 years target market and was formulated through extensive trend, color, and target market research. The “Pretti Please” accessories design page includes multiple colorways, item descriptions, and a unique design concept that was inspired by the PRISM megatrend in particular.

Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising

In FIDM’s Brand Portfolio course, students work for the duration of the quarter to create an original collection that is based off of their chosen brand’s design aesthetics, price point, customer profile, etc. The goal is to finish the course with a portfolio that demonstrates the student’s skills and knowledge in line development, sourcing, textile application, original design, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. This quarter I have chosen two brands: Rebecca Taylor and Show Me Your Mumu.

Below is my portfolio work for the brand Rebecca Taylor, complete with a mood board, color story, fabric selection page, trim selection page, and my original designs. They are organized by merchandised looks.

Styling creative projects is one of my favorite things to do, which is why I started providing photography services. My photography portfolio includes detailed product shots, seamless product integrations, and stylized shoots (such as graduation portraits, engagement shoots, etc.). Below is a sample of my work across several categories. I also want to mention that all photos on my blog’s Instagram are my own photos, so make sure to check my account out if you are interested in seeing more of my work.

If you would like to arrange a photo session with me for an upcoming special occasion, please do not hesitate to contact me at prettipleaseblog@gmail.com for my availability. Thanks so much for stopping by!
