Festive Jewelry For New Year’s Eve

In my opinion, one of the best parts of celebrating the new year is getting all dressed up! My boyfriend and I are heading down to San Diego on the 30th to watch USC play in the Holiday Bowl, so we thought that it would be fun to stay in San Diego for New Year’s Eve as well.  And that’s just about all the planning we’ve done for New Year’s Eve – which is making putting together/packing an outfit a bit tricky.  So, I decided to focus more on accessories since we aren’t sure if we will be celebrating indoors, on a rooftop, on the water, etc.

While browsing accessories online, I rounded up 10 stunning jewelry picks that range from $12.45 – around $100 and just had to share them.  To make things simple this year, I’ll probably pair a few festive jewelry pieces with a solid dress, glittery heels, and a metallic clutch.  If anyone has recommendations for things to do in San Diego on New Year’s Eve, I’d love to hear them!  I hope that you all have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve 🙂

BEAUTY || Gifts for Her

BeautyGiftsGadgetsSephora

Do you ever walk into Target with one purchase in mind, but accidentally come out with a bag full of everything *except* that item? It’s like a black hole in stores sometimes, especially during the holidays with so many gift displays to look at and fabulous promotions going on.

I feel the same way about shopping at Sephora nowadays.  I absolutely have to head into Sephora with a list of exactly what I’m looking for – in fear that I will end up swatching (at least) 10 different nail polishes or foundation primers on the back of my hand.  There are just so many fun products and gadgets to look at!

I don’t mind getting lost in Sephora, especially when I’m on the hunt for the perfect gift.  There are plenty of adorable gift sets / holiday exclusives at Sephora right now, which is why I wanted to share my absolute favorites.  Selecting beauty gifts can be tricky sometimes because you essentially have to guess what shades and formulas would be the most flattering on the recipient.  I was pleasantly surprised when the ladies working at Sephora recommended some great gifts that would suit virtually everyone’s skin tone and complexion, making them my favorite beauty gifts!  Click below of more details on each individual product and visit Sephora for some pretty little stocking stuffers 🙂

Travel Photo Diary

My mom, dad, and I recently spent 2 weeks exploring Italy and France and it was absolutely incredible.  It was my first time going to Italy and my second time visiting my favorite city on the planet, Paris.  Specifically, we visited Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Venice, and Paris.  Instead of writing on and on about the places we saw, I though I would share some of my favorite pictures from each location that we visited. I tried to narrow them down, but I’ll be honest…there’s quite a few!

We made sure to visit all of the typical tourist locations such as the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, the Duomo, Fontainebleau, Tuscany, the Eiffel Tower, Vatican City, and Piazza San Marco (among many others!). My mom and I are super lucky that my dad is a TOTAL history buff because he would stop periodically to tell us information about sites we were passing  by. I keep joking that we will move to Europe and my dad can become an official tour guide since he is doing it already on our trips, haha!

We spent the rest of the time shopping, eating, and enjoying what each location had to offer in terms of fashion, of course. The fashion highlights of the trip include visiting the Gucci Museo, Galeries Lafayette, Valentino’s headquarters, Avenue Montaigne, Rue Cambon, Via Condotti, leather shops in Italy, & the oh-so-fabulous showrooms of Paris Fashion Week. I’m so happy that my parents enjoy fashion as much as I do! We were running around the entire time but it was totally worth it. My parents are the best travel buddies. If you have any questions about the locations pictured, feel free to drop me a comment below! Enjoy 🙂

Double Takes…

I recently came across a couple of amazing dupes for higher-end products, so I thought I’d share them!  My favorite “look for less” is the $95 red flats from Nordstrom that I originally saw on one of my favorite blogs (The Sweetest Thing).  I love that they are a similar style, but not an exact copy.  Plus, they’re even more gorgeous in person!

I also recently found a bag that is really similar to the white Tory Burch York Tote (below).  Not only is it a less expensive option, but it’s a better option for ladies who are using their tote for school or always on the go.  I figure that you’ll be less afraid to actually use the tote since it’s much less of an investment (I know I’d most likely scuff up the white leather of the Tory Burch option after a couple wears, so trying the look for less is definitely a better idea in my opinion!).

Check out my picks below and let me know about the fun summer trends you’re trying for less.

Little Luxuries…

First things first – did you notice my page looks a bit different?!  Designer Blogs gave Pretti Please a major upgrade and I couldn’t be more excited about it, so I highly recommend them if you’re looking to start a blog or upgrade your layout 🙂 Anyways, today’s post is a collection of little luxuries that I’m eyeing for this summer…you’ll probably notice that it includes a whole lot of turquoise, pineapples, and “marble” inspired items.  I’ve been obsessing over marble sneakers/tech accessories ever since I stumbled upon the laptop decal (above) on a friend’s Instagram account.  I ordered a marble-printed laptop hard case off of Amazon and am hoping it will make my laptop as glamorous as I’m expecting it to (haha!).

I hope you are all gearing up for a safe & fabulous 4th of July weekend.  Don’t forget that today is the last day to enter my giveaway from The Collegiate Standard!  Click HERE to enter and good luck!

For the Fourth…

Can you believe that the 4th of July is just around the corner?!  Time is seriously flying by…  I have no idea what my plans are for the 4th as of this moment, but I’ve definitely been brainstorming some festive outfit possibilities (lol, priorities).

For the 4th of July, I usually wear something white and pair it with red/blue accessories.  As much as I would love to purchase some sort of fun, American Flag inspired dress or romper, I don’t think those types of items work very well for occasions throughout the year.  For this reason, I think it is a good idea to invest in a couple accessories that have the potential to work year-round (and for many many 4th of July celebrations to come!)  Check out my red, white, blue, & gold favorites below – I’ve provided direct links below the pictures!  Also, feel free to leave links to any posts that you may have about the 4th of July in the comments 🙂 I’d love to see them!

I hope that you thoroughly enjoy the upcoming holiday with friends and family. XO

Summery Satchels ft. Kate + Rebecca

It’s safe to say that I’ve never met a satchel I didn’t like! My favorite satchels (below) can be worn as crossbodies or held by the top handles – making them *just a bit* more versatile.  Rock one of these pretty little satchels this summer for a look that’s totally on-trend!

Graduation Party Decor Snapshots…

I am so excited that I’ve finally gotten around to sharing some photographs from my USC Graduation party, which was held at my home in Southern California with close friends and family.  My mom did a FABULOUS job planning this party while I was tied up with final exams and picking out my grad wedges (lol).  She’s quite the event planner and I am so thankful that we have the same taste! 🙂

The night of my Graduation party was such a positive end to the most important chapter of my life so far.  It was a night filled with friends, mentors, family, yummy cake, and some of my fellow Trojans.  I thought I’d share just a couple shots of the event decor –  including a few photos of the amazing cake by Cinderella Cakes!  All of the beautiful floral arrangements were created by a local florist.  All food, assorted desserts, and furniture rentals were provided by Salwater Catering.

Feel free to leave any questions that you may have about decor/event planning in the comments.  To read about the day of my Graduation Ceremony and see some fun “Grad pics,” click here.
